DuChateau Floors is an environmentally friendly company. All DuChateau Floors are finished with Hard Wax Oil.
These natural oils help reduce the need of chemicals used by other companies today to finish hardwood flooring.
American Forests
DuChateau Floors is a partner of American Forests, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to plant 100 million trees by the year 2020. American Forests works to protect, restore and enhance the natural capital of trees and forests. DuChateau Floors allocates part of it profits to the Global ReLeaf campaign by American Forests. In partnership with American Forests, DuChateau Floors has a compromise to its clients, employees, & mother earth: “to plant two trees for every tree it uses to produce hardwood floors”.
Recycle, Re-use, Re-think!
DuChateau Floors main product is engineered floors. The construction of these floors consists of a recycled birch & poplar wood substrate. Because of this multi-ply substrate construction, DuChateau Floors is able to utilize wood particles that otherwise would be considered waste and create a very stable wood floor, especially for the wide planks it manufactures.
